Episode 125: From Leader-1 to Optimus Prime – The Life and Times of Adam

The Scope caps one of the most prolific weeks of contents (three movie reviews, check them out if you haven’t already) with a proper episode full of talkin’ and gabbin’.

Along with the chattin’, Jared, Adam and Shane present a new segment called either “The Soundtrack Of Our Lives” or the less popular Nickelback-inspired “This Is How You Remind Me” in which your Scope hosts talk about big life events and the songs that remind them of said events. It would be an intriguing bit if any of the gents had interesting life events. But instead you’ll get to hear a lot about Family Matters reruns on Friday nights.

So, yes, it’s a solid episode. Please listen, yo.

The Scope Episode 125 is like rain on your wedding day. Yeah, I really do think.

Scope Special Edition: Prometheus Review

The Scope is back with the third movie review in three days. We’re tired just thinking about it. But we couldn’t pass up a free screening of one of the most anticipated sci-fi films of the year.

Yes, we’re talking about Sir Ridley Scott’s Prometheus aka Prothemeus.

So sit back, strap on your headphones, and give it a listen. Hopefully this podcast won’t be the internet equivalent of a chestbursting alien climbing out of your midsection.

The Scope Prometheus review will never ignorantly try to touch a scary-looking albino space cobra rising from some scarier looking black goo even though it probably will cause pain. Lots and lots of pain.

Scope Special Edition: Moonrise Kingdom Review

This week features a Scope first: back-to-back instant movie reviews! Committed Wesophiles Jared and Shane challenged the motorcycle-festooned wilds of Uptown to take in the latest film from auteur Wes Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom. It’s not a who’s who of contemporary sitcom television like yesterday’s movie, but it does have Bill Murray, Brice Willis, and plenty of oddball children.

The Scope Moonrise Kingdom review stinks of PBR and hipster jean shorts.

Scope Special Edition: Safety Not Guaranteed Review

Hey Scope-a-maniacs! We’re back with our second instant movie review of the summer. This time around, we’ll cast a critical gaze toward a small film called Safety Not Guaranteed. It stars the gloomy/sarcastic chick from Parks And Recreation and the crazy/pathetic roommate from New Girl. Oh, throw in mental illness, time travel, and powerful gaming laptops with flames while you’re at it.

And you’ve probably never heard of it. After our review, however, you’ll want to get to know it. And fast.

The Scope Safety Not Guaranteed Movie Review Special never brings its own seasoning condiments into a darkened movie theater.
