July 22, 2012 | Posted by: The Scope
Another blockbuster, another instant summer movie review from Jared and Shane. This time around, it’s the third (and final?) Batman film from superstar moviemaker, Chris Nolan. Yeah, we’re talking about Nort Nort’s favorite, The Dark Knight Rises. In this installment, Batman gives up fighting bad guys and just talks to a therapist for three hours. By the end, he’s crying like a baby and hugging everyone. Talk about a huge twist!
Will Jared and Shane love this movie as much as The Avengers? What about The Dark Knight? Well, you’ll just have to download this, listen to it, and find out. So what are you waiting for, exactly?
The Scope The Dark Knight Rises review is thinking about the people of Aurora, Colorado.

Episode 127: 2012 CONvergence Spectacular
July 16, 2012 | Posted by: The Scope
Sonic Screwdrivers. Inebriated twenty-somethings all cosplaying it up in anime outfits. Anything steampunk. What do these have in common? These are all things found at the latest edition of Minnesota’s best Sci-Fi (and more!) convention, CONvergence.
Jared, Shane, and intrepid on-the-spot reporter Gary teamed up to bring The Scope faithful all the deets on this enormous event. Yeah, there were broken promises (where did those follow-up interviews and instant game shows go, exactly?) but there were more than enough awesome moments to totally make up for it.
So put on your Catwoman ears, throw your Lasso of Truth, and fire up the latest from your friends at The Scope. It’s CONeriffic!
The Scope episode 127 is still on the hunt for the “sitsquatch.” He won’t evade us forever.

Scope Special Edition: The Amazing Spider-Man Review
July 4, 2012 | Posted by: The Scope
This 4th of July, The Scope has decided to give something back to all faithful listeners…something better than grilled wieners, room temperature potato salad, and cancelled fireworks (due to global warming and rampant brushfires.) Jared and Shane were kind enough to check out the
fourthfirst Spider-Man movie. This time around, there’s no Tobey, Kirsten, or James. But you do get a kid with super-cool hair, Emma in sweet Gwen Stacy boots, and yet another origin tale. (Did you know Peter became Spidey from a spider bite?!? Yes, it’s true!)
So take a few minutes, stop celebrating the good old U.S. of A, and check out another Scope summer movie review.
The Scope The Amazing Spider-Man review wishes President Bartlet would be our awesome uncle.

Episode 126: Guac Sauce, Faith Hilling, And Endoscopic Adventures Gone Wild
July 2, 2012 | Posted by: The Scope
The Scope boys are back in town, and do they ever have tales to tell. This week, Adam and Shane discuss medical procedures (done to them, no less!) ripped right out of alien abduction cases. Jared was obviously thankful not to be able to relate to any part of their horror stories.
The guys also bring back a long-forgotten bit called “Scope Discoveries.” What we learn is that Jared and Adam prefer other podcasts far more than the one they produce.
Finally, the gang swings the review hammer at
another decent episode of Family GuyTed. That reminds me of the time Stewie guest-starred on The Love Boat (insert cutaway here.)The Scope episode 126 lets you keep your shorts on.
