Episode 85: Because You Demanded It…Monster Nique vs. Jackée

What happens when the dynamic duo of Jaréd and Shané decide to aim for a Scope episode that’s decidedly tighter than the usual effort?

Nearly one hour and twenty minutes, baby.

That being said, your Scope hosts had a lot to talk about. And it focused on the very connected topics of cat barf and Oscar picks. It’s a shame both Adam and Molly either couldn’t (or wouldn’t) be in the studio for such an important show. At least the remaining hosts made up for it by working on some excellent Arnold and Jackée imitations.

Sadly, there were no reviews this week. But, really, who needs reviews when you’ve got “Precious?”

The Scope Episode 85 is based on the novel, “Push,” by Sapphire.

Regarding what Luke Ski was doing while on the phone, my guess is that he was drawing a caricature of Shane as coal-miner, before he gets in the bath with his own filth.

I liked all the innuendo. Was there a li’l drinking going on during the first break? Shane sure sounded in a much better mood after it!

Really great episode, guys! However, I blame you for making me accidentally call Mo’Nique “Monster Nique” while watching the Oscars last night. So now all my friends think I’m a bigot who’s prejudiced against African-American comediennes, but at least Monster Nique emerged victorious, I guess.

Anyway, you guys always do a great job with the show and I eagerly await the next episode!

I would like to congratulate Shane on his perfect Oscar pick performance. Using your picks as a jumping off point I too won an Oscar pick pool, netting me a cool $20.

As for Shane’s dinner offer, while I would love to take you up on it, I think that it will be tough to convince the wife to visit Minnesota in July since we live in Jefferson City, Missouri. Don’t count me out quite yet but like the Vikings winning a Super Bowl or Jared having a chance with Joe Mauer, the odds are very, very slim.

Keep up the great work, looking forward to some baseball talk.

    -Mike
